John focuses his practice on resolving challenging commercial, employment and other complex civil cases on behalf of businesses and individuals. His practice includes commercial litigation, corporate law, employment litigation and general business law advice. John helps companies, directors, officers and other professionals in cases involving claims of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, misrepresentation, and non-compete and trade secret disputes. He also defends employers against claims of discrimination, wrongful termination, and in regulatory matters brought by government agencies.

John is the author of materials published by the National Business Institute on small business and shareholder disputes in Washington, and by the American Bar Association's Franchise Law Journal. John worked for the Honorable Judge John Ruhl of the King County Superior Court while in law school, during which he regularly advised the court on complex commercial matters. He is a member of the ABA's Forum on Franchising, Commercial and Business Litigation Committee, and Labor and Employment Section. He is also a member of the Compliance and Legal Society of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA).
