Jeanne Demers is a partner in our Boston office. She is a seasoned litigation and business attorney with extensive trial, discovery and ADR experience in multiple jurisdictions in a wide range of areas, including product liability, professional liability (attorney, insurance broker, D&O), commercial disputes, toxic tort, asbestos, insurance coverage, bad faith, and employment.

In addition to her private practice litigation experience, Jeanne has over twelve years of experience in various in-house legal positions, including as global Chief Litigation Counsel for a large international industrial automation/high tech/manufacturing company, where she built the global litigation management legal group from the ground up. Jeanne also served as counsel to the complex and emerging risks and claims department of a large insurer, where she provided coverage opinions and underlying defense advice to claims handlers and handled major coverage DJs. In addition, Jeanne has in-house experience with commercial contracting, negotiation, compliance, intellectual property, M&A, and corporate governance.

Jeanne holds two ethical compliance certifications, a CCEP (Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional) and TASA (Trace Anti-bribery Specialist.) She has experience counseling clients on ethical compliance issues, including the FCPA and global anti-bribery laws and she has managed large scale internal corporate investigations.

Based on her in-house and private practice experience, Jeanne offers a unique perspective to business clients. In addition to handling litigation matters, she counsels in-house lawyers and executives on effective in-house legal management and organization, including cost effective litigation management, contract management, global cross functional collaboration, and business partnering. She is adept at providing strategic business solutions to complicated legal problems to ensure optimal and cost effective results.
