Mr. Erwin's practice focuses on representing employers, management, and supervisors in all areas of labor and employment law. This includes representing private and public sector employers in workplace harassment and discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour lawsuits in state and federal court, and before various administrative agencies such as the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the United States Equal Opportunity Commission, the California Labor Commissioner, and the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Mr. Erwin further counsels clients in a variety of industries on labor and employment law matters including equal opportunity, workplace privacy, employee leave issues, wage and hour compliance, and hiring and termination practices.
Because of his years of experience in labor and employment law, Mr. Erwin has obtained significant knowledge concerning the laws that regulate the workplace including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the California Labor Code.
