Michael Gaubert was born in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts. His major was History, with an emphasis on English Literature, Law, and Political Science. He received minors in Business Administration and African-American Studies. In 1989, he moved to Washington, D.C. where he attended law school at the Georgetown University Law Center where he received his Juris Doctorate. 

Mr. Gaubert brings over twenty years of experience in the field of commercial litigation to Lewis Brisbois. Formerly a Senior Associate with the national law firm of Bickel & Brewer—a firm dedicated exclusively to high-stakes advocacy, as well as having been the Managing Partner of a multi-city litigation boutique during his career, Mr. Gaubert has extensive experience in litigating complex commercial matters both in and out of the courtroom.
