Gerard Lafond has nearly 30 years of experience in civil litigation, with a major emphasis on insurance-related issues. Since 1990, Mr. Lafond’s practice has primarily focused on property insurance matters. He has provided coverage opinions and assisted major insurance clients in all aspects of the investigation of numerous commercial and personal lines property insurance claims, including claims involving large exposure losses, and claims involving suspected fraud and other SIU issues. Mr. Lafond frequently represents insurance clients in coverage litigation and has successfully defended their interests in both court and jury trials involving “bad faith” and punitive damage allegations. He has also had success in the appellate arena, resulting in several published opinions in insurance cases.
