Owen McGrann is an associate in the Pittsburgh office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, products liability litigation, insurance coverage litigation, trade secret and restrictive covenant litigation, and appellate litigation. Mr. McGrann has experience litigating complex cases in Federal courts across the country and in Pennsylvania state courts, on both the trial and appellate level.
Mr. McGrann joined the firm after working at two mid-sized Pittsburgh firms, a litigation boutique firm, and clerking for the Honorable R. Stanton Wettick, Jr. of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. During law school, he interned with the Honorable Maureen Lally-Green of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and the Honorable Nora Barry Fischer of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. McGrann received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Denison University in 2003, where he received an Alumni Scholarship and a Young Scholar Summer Research Scholarship. He then earned his Master of Arts degree in English from Binghamton University in 2005, where he received a scholarship and teaching assistantship, teaching classes in Modern American Literature and Critical Theory. Mr. McGrann graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2009, where he was Note and Comment Editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce and was awarded the Eckert Prize for superior written work.
He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations, including the Civil Litigation Section and Young Lawyers Division. He frequently guest lectures on legal argument at the University of Pittsburgh.
