Meryl Eschen Mills is Of Counsel in the firm’s Labor & Employment departments in the Denver and Los Angeles offices. Her practice focuses on general employment counseling and employment litigation in California and Colorado.

Meryl has experience in all aspects of employment litigation, with particular emphasis on discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims. She has also appeared and represented clients before administrative agencies, including the Department of Labor, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Colorado Civil Rights Division, and the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Prior to rejoining the firm, Meryl worked for an employers’ association, where she specialized in counseling multi-state companies with operations in California and Colorado on a variety of state and federal employment law issues, including wage and hour, performance documentation, FMLA/CFRA, ADA, Title VII, and terminations. She audited and revised employee handbooks and company policies, drafted position statements to the EEOC and state agencies, and represented employers at mediation. Meryl also provided training on discrimination and harassment in the workplace, performance documentation, legal issues, and the FMLA.
