William Pallares is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts and has participated in numerous civil trials and arbitrations. Mr. Pallares practices in the areas of commercial litigation and professional liability, representing clients in fraud, unfair competition, false advertising and business interruption claims. Mr. Pallares’ commercial litigation experience assists him in representing legal professionals, defending corporate counsel as well as practitioners in the areas of bankruptcy, patent, copyright and construction law. Mr. Pallares also practices in the areas of construction, employment and products liability.

Mr. Pallares has defended general contractors in multi-million dollar lawsuits, involving structural design failures as well as delay claims.  He has represented manufacturers of paint products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and industrial machinery.

Mr. Pallares has also defended companies in complex litigation, involving stock purchase agreements, distribution agreements and secured transactions.  He has litigated against contract, copyright, patent, trademark and trade secret claims.  He represented a wholesale pharmaceutical company against patent infringement claims, involving the off label use of generic drugs, and defended companies against trademark infringement claims, involving keyword advertising.

He has experience defending clients against S.L.A.P.P. suits involving defamation claims.  He has also defended individuals and business establishments against civil rights claims, involving California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 1983, and the federal Fair Housing Act. He has also defended companies against wrongful termination and discrimination claims. 

Mr. Pallares is an alumnus of the prestigious Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Trial Advocacy Project (TAP) and served as a pro bono prosecutor with the City of Long Beach City Attorney’s Office, where he obtained a conviction in all cases he tried.
