Ryan K. Rubin is a partner in the firm's Cleveland office. In addition to being licensed in Ohio and Kentucky, he has represented clients in more than ten other States around the country. Such cases often involve complex issues and significant alleged exposure. For example, in defense of one mass tort claim involving a train derailment in Chicago and nearly 200 Plaintiffs, Ryan completed about 400 depositions leading to the successful, no-pay dismissal of his client.
Ryan has Martindale-Hubbell’s highest attorney rating, AV-Preeminent®. Also, for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 Ryan has been named a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers. He has presented to fellow attorneys at numerous continuing legal education seminars on brain injuries, nursing home and medical malpractice, trial tactics, HIPAA, and ethics. He has also presented at risk management seminars for various corporations and medical professionals.
His time is devoted to representing individuals, professionals, businesses, and corporations in matters involving: litigation, risk management, contract preparation and negotiation, construction defect, medical and legal malpractice, engineering, fire loss, environmental claims, products liability, premises liability, catastrophic injury, and transportation.
Ryan earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was a member of the Honors Court and the National Mock Trial team. He received his B.A. at Miami University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma and the Rugby team. He has been active in Cleveland’s civic affairs through the Board of Trustees for the Cleveland chapter of the American Jewish Committee (AJC). Ryan is President of the Pepperwood Lane Homeowners’ Association in Bentleyville and Solon, Ohio.
Although Ryan’s wife is busy working as Chief of Anesthesiology at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, in their spare time, they most enjoy spending time together, with their daughter and son.
