Stephen C. Ubl is a partner in the San Francisco office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP. Mr. Ubl’s practice is primarily focused in the areas of professional liability and employment law litigation. He also has an extensive litigation background in governmental tort liability, general liability and product liability. Mr. Ubl has experience in every facet of litigation through trial, binding arbitrations and appeals in both the State and Federal Court.

In the professional liability area, Mr. Ubl’s practice includes the defense of attorneys from legal malpractice claims resulting from representation of clients in a variety of underlying cases including personal injury, employment law, medical malpractice and probate matters. He also defends insurance agents and brokers as well as elder care facilities, common interest developments and durable medical equipment providers.

In the employment law area, Mr. Ubl’s practice involves representing employers and public entities in various aspects of labor and employment litigation, including employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation and wage and hour claims. He has also handled ERISA based claims.
