Jay Weintraub's practice is principally concentrated in litigating insurance coverage disputes under both first-party property and third-party liability insurance contracts, including Commercial General Liability and Directors & Officers policies. His focus includes interpreting insurance policies, evaluating coverage issues, and achieving favorable outcomes for clients by litigating declaratory judgment actions, filing successful motions for summary judgment, and negotiating settlements. He has significant experience in handling high value insurance coverage and breach of contract disputes, both as an attorney in private practice and in-house as a Complex Claims Director at AIG Domestic Claims, Inc. Mr. Weintraub assists insurance carriers with claims investigation, policy/contractual interpretation, and the litigation of lawsuits. He provides analysis opinions to clients regarding legal and regulatory compliance, as well as contractual rights, duties, and obligations. Mr. Weintraub is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
