Michael R. Weiss is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles Office. Since 1995, Mr. Weiss has focused on real estate litigation and transactions, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, commercial lease preparation and transactions, complex commercial and business disputes, complex insurance insolvency, insurance regulation, reinsurance, eminent domain and inverse condemnation, and general business litigation and counseling.

Mr. Weiss’s clients include Fortune 500 companies, real estate investment trusts, government agencies, state insurance commissioners and insurance departments, insurance and surety bond brokers, commercial truck service body company, fragrance/perfume company, hotel, valet parking companies, construction companies, and additional small and large companies and individuals in multi-million dollar real estate litigation disputes, easement disputes, commercial lease disputes, commercial property purchase and sale transactions and disputes, bond and asset collection and insurance insolvency and regulatory matters, among many other matters. 

Mr. Weiss has managed all aspects of litigation, including jury and court trials, mediations, arbitrations, pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, interviewing witnesses, advising clients, settlement and appeal. Mr. Weiss is authorized to practice in federal and California state courts. 

Mr. Weiss spent four years with the California Attorney General’s Office where he served as lead counsel successfully handling complex business, real estate, tax insurance insolvency and regulatory cases for the State of California before state, federal and appellate courts.
