Jim is a Martindale-Hubbell AV preeminent litigation attorney who has represented private businesses and insurance companies in federal and state courts across the country, including Illinois, Indiana, New York, Florida, Nebraska, California, and Oklahoma. He has been lead counsel on catastrophic, complex, high exposure cases, and he has tried cases to verdict in both the state and federal court system. Jim also has significant insurance coverage experience, and has litigated claims under general liability policies, professional liability policies, D &O policies, auto policies and homeowner policies. He has also represented reinsurers in both the judicial and arbitral setting.

In 2014, Jim was named by the Chicago Law Bulletin as a “top 40 under 40” lawyer in Illinois, which is a prestigious award given to the top young attorneys in the state of Illinois.  In addition, in 2014, Jim was named as part of the inaugural class of Emerging Lawyers for the Illinois Leading Lawyers network, which represents the top 2% of Illinois lawyers under the age of 40 in Illinois. He was also named as an Illinois Super Lawyer in the area of General Litigation.
