Tim J. Yianne was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. He lives in the Historic District of the East End with his wife and daughter.
Tim attended West Virginia University on academic and athletic scholarships. He played Division I soccer and lettered all four years at West Virginia University. Tim was selected team captain his junior and senior years. He was also a Big East Academic All Star his junior and senior years. Tim graduated with honors from the business school in accounting.
Tim received his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law. He received the Andrew Pete Wood, Jr., Fellowship to attend the law school. While in law school, Tim served on the West Virginia University Student Judicial Board Court of Appeals.
Tim began his legal career in the public sector as a law clerk in the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Huntington, West Virginia. After completing his judicial clerkship, he entered the private sector as a litigator. His experience consists of representing corporations, state agencies, municipalities, and individuals in litigation. He has tried multiple catastrophic injury cases in some of the most feared venues in West Virginia.
Tim is a recipient of the Generation Next 40 Under 40 Award. The award is given to individuals in West Virginia under 40 years old who are making their mark as professionals and executives in business, government and volunteer service.
Tim is actively involved in his community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia. He currently is the President of the Board.
